The Ask
When the Product Details Page (PDP) was added to the list of core updates for MVP, the tiger team brought me in as the subject matter expert, and I was tasked with bringing presentation concepts to life and better reflect what could realistically be built by the handoff deadline in 3 weeks.
I worked with the tiger team, UI team, and developers to refine the scope of the updates so that we could deliver a "glow up" of the existing experience. Meaning we would focus on tightening up the existing experience to align with the overall design direction, and leverage known technical enhancements to avoid immediate rework.
The Evolution
After reviewing best practices, competitor sites, and a run through of the overarching brand direction from the UI team, I worked to create concepts that were a blend of the capabilities we had access to today and the overall new design of the app.
I focused on larger imagery (with the understanding of the upcoming improvements to product imagery), decluttering content, larger tap areas, and a hierarchy that aligned with what customers had traditionally found to be the most important content on our pages.

Conclusion
For initial release, we were able to deliver a "refreshed" version of the Product Details Page that aligned with the overarching direction of the app redesign, but was still manageable for engineers to pull together in alignment with our tight deadline.
We focused on making small enhancements where it mattered most, while maintaining structure and accessibility features that would ensure that the experience would still be Fresh for Everyone. And we documented which pieces of the experience would need to be addressed as a fast follow in the next quarter.
Post-MVP the team will work towards additional changes to the page to reflect the next phase of updates to our digital experience.
